Request deletion of your account and personal data
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove the following within 30 days:
- Identity & account
- Your profile (display name, avatar, bio, countries visited, date of birth)
- Your family and dependent links
- Your authentication credentials (email, OAuth bindings)
- Activity history
- Your trip flares and flare interests
- Your cohort memberships and program access
- Your experience interests (past and upcoming)
- Your arrival-guide completion state
- Your tribe connections (both directions)
- Engagement data
- Your votes (spots and tips)
- Your saved spots and saved tips
- Your notes on spots and comments on tips
- Communications
- Your notifications inbox
- Your push notification subscriptions (desktop and mobile)
- Optional — community content you authored
By default, spots and tips you created are retained in anonymized form to preserve community value. You can request full removal (including your original authorship) by deleting from the mobile app with the "Also remove my contributions" option, or by mentioning it in your email request.
Note: Community contributions (map spots and tips) that have been enshrined by community vote may be retained in anonymized form. Your name and identity will be removed from this content.
Option 1: Delete From the App
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the TribeTrak app:
- Open TribeTrak and go to your profile
- Tap "Settings"
- Scroll to "Delete Account"
- Confirm your identity and tap "Delete My Account"
Option 2: Request via Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by email. Send a request to legal [at] tribetrak [dot] com from the email address associated with your TribeTrak account. Please include:
- Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
- Your display name on TribeTrak
- The email or phone number associated with your account
We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation email when your account has been deleted.
