Terms of Service

Welcome to TribeTrak. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TribeTrak mobile application (the "App") operated by TribeTrak ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on TribeTrak. The App is designed for adult members of worldschooling and location-independent families. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You may need a valid invite code to join the community.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. User-Generated Content

The App allows you to submit content including map spots, tips, notes, travel flares, and profile information ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you:

  • Retain ownership of your content but grant TribeTrak a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content within the App and for promotional purposes.
  • Represent that your content is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not violate any third-party rights.
  • Understand that community-enshrined content (spots and tips voted as permanent by the community) may persist in anonymized form even after your account is deleted.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or harmful information about locations, businesses, or other users.
  • Harass, bully, or intimidate other users.
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose not authorized by us, including advertising or solicitation.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data.
  • Upload malicious code, spam, or content that violates applicable laws.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the App or its data.

5. Community Guidelines

TribeTrak is a community built on trust and shared experience. We expect all users to contribute constructively and respectfully. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or that we determine are harmful to the community, at our sole discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by TribeTrak and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without our written permission.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Mapbox, Supabase, and Google OAuth. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

8. Program Communities

Certain features of the App may be associated with worldschool programs (e.g., Boundless Life). Participation in a program community may be subject to additional terms set by that program. Program administrators may have access to program-specific community activity.

9. Disclaimers

  • The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • User-submitted tips, spots, and recommendations reflect individual experiences and are not verified by TribeTrak. Always exercise your own judgment when following community recommendations.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any User Content.
  • We are not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your reliance on information provided through the App.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TribeTrak and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

11. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through the App or by visiting tribetrak.com/delete-account.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior harmful to the community.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Data deletion follows the schedule outlined in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
